Kathy brings over 25 years of experience to a real estate practice focused on commercial and multi-family residential real estate, including acquisitions, dispositions and development, construction and professional design services contracts, financing and leasing, including retail and office leasing as counsel to both landlords and tenants. Before her affiliation with Kaplan Saunders Valente & Beninati, LLP in 2016, Kathy practiced with the national law firm, Seyfarth Shaw LLP, where she was a partner in the firm’s Chicago office, and then had her own real estate practice for fifteen plus years.  In her free time, Kathy serves as the Clerk of Session in her faith community, was a member of the Board of Directors of a Chicago homeless shelter for nearly ten years, and has served in leadership in a local governmental organization.
